License & Reciprocity
Fifty-state licensing pathways, reciprocity mapping, application support, Qualifying Individual sourcing and placement support, and corporate-document preparation for expansion into new markets.
National Contractors Alliance Every Trade. Every State. One Table.
The National Contractors Alliance puts licensed and licensable contractors of every trade at one table, with stronger access to licensure, bonding, capital, contracts, and protection.
Built by and for contractors who have been locked out of prequalification, bonding, and prime-contract opportunities. Open to every contractor committed to fair access and a stronger construction industry.
Trades are divided by specialty but united by obstacle. Every membership class receives full and equal access to the same five pillars.

One Alliance core. Eight standing Trade Councils. A new Council may be chartered when fifteen members in good standing from that trade petition for one. No trade is denied representation because of size alone.
The National Contractors Alliance is organized under a written Founding Charter that states its mission, five pillars, member rights and obligations, Trade Council authority, governance structure, regional representation, and Founding Class protections.
Each standing Trade Council elects one representative to a two-year Advisory Council term. The Advisory Council meets at least quarterly.
West, Southwest, Midwest, South, and Northeast support contract distribution, convening, and state-level advocacy.
Founding dues rates remain in place for the life of an unbroken membership and are never reoffered after enrollment closes.
S.F. Johnson Consulting & Construction Services administers operations, finances, staffing, service delivery, and the five-pillar programs.
The Founding Class is limited to the first 250 members admitted, including no more than 100 Charter Firms. The Alliance seeks at least two members in every standing trade across each of the five regions so no trade or region begins without representation at the table.
Membership is open to an individual or firm that holds—or is actively pursuing—a contractor license or trade registration in a United States jurisdiction and operates in lawful standing.
Full and equal access to all five pillars; a primary Trade Council plus observer access to all others; advance notice of every contract opportunity distributed by the Alliance; use of the Alliance member mark while in good standing; and at least sixty days’ written notice before changes to dues, benefits, or governance take effect.
Members maintain lawful licensure, insurance, and standing where they work; deal honestly with clients and industry partners; protect the member roster from unauthorized solicitation; pay dues on schedule; and report changes in licensure status.
Lifetime founding rates while membership remains unbroken, permanent recognition on the Founding Member Roll while in good standing, first position in initial Trade Council elections, and priority consideration on contract opportunities distributed during the first twenty-four months.
A member may terminate with thirty days’ written notice. The Alliance may terminate for nonpayment, loss of licensure, or a substantiated finding of fraud or misconduct only after written notice and an opportunity to respond.
Alliance education follows the five problems—not generic networking topics.
Reciprocity, qualifying individuals, entity documents, exam waivers, and application planning.
Preparing stronger submissions, understanding risk signals, and protecting project margins.
Documentation systems, payment timelines, change orders, prompt-pay rules, and escalation readiness.
Labor planning, recruiting, onboarding, skills development, field leadership, and retention.
Prequalification, GC vendor lists, capability packages, government opportunities, and prime bids.
Trade-specific scope review, takeoff, labor, exclusions, risk, pricing, and bid presentation.
