📅 Part 1: Construction Scheduling for HVAC Projects

Key Concept: HVAC systems must align with structural, architectural, and electrical milestones. Delay in scheduling HVAC rough-ins can create major project bottlenecks.
  • Overview of scheduling tools (Gantt charts, CPM, Microsoft Project, etc.)
  • Breaking work into work packages (rough-in, equipment set, start-up)
  • Defining critical path activities
  • HVAC sequencing with framing, electrical, and fire sprinklers

📦 Part 2: Procurement Planning

  • Submittal process and approvals
  • Tracking long lead equipment (AHUs, RTUs, chillers, boilers)
  • Vendor coordination and material release schedules
  • Procurement logs and schedule integration
  • Handling change orders that affect procurement
Pro Tip: Set up a “Procurement Milestone Tracker” to align PO release dates with install timelines. Always build in buffer time.
